How We Keep You Safe: Clinical Standards at Hyndford Hydration
Mobile IV therapy is a genuinely useful service. It is also one where corners can be cut if a provider prioritizes convenience over clinical rigour. Here is exactly how we operate and why.
Who Is Administering Your Treatment
Every Hyndford Hydration session is administered by a BCCNM-regulated nurse, either a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse, with verified clinical experience in IV therapy. We do not send generalists or unregulated practitioners to your door. Every nurse working under the Hyndford Hydration name meets our clinical standards before they ever see a client.
Medical Oversight on Every Visit
All treatments are administered under a valid medical directive from a BC-licensed Nurse Practitioner. Every treatment has prescriber oversight, and if your intake flags anything that warrants a closer look, a Nurse Practitioner reviews it before treatment proceeds. Safety is not optional, and it is not something we mention once and move on from.
Before Your Session
Before your visit, you will complete a straightforward health questionnaire covering your medical history, current medications, allergies, and relevant symptoms. Your nurse reviews this before confirming your appointment. On the day of your session, your nurse confirms there are no changes to your health status and that you are feeling well enough to proceed. The majority of clients move through this process without any additional steps. When something warrants a closer look, we flag it before treatment proceeds. We would rather delay a session than proceed with incomplete information.
During Your Session
Vitals are checked on arrival. Sterile technique is used throughout. Your nurse stays with you throughout the treatment, monitoring your response and making adjustments as needed. You are not left alone with an IV running while someone waits in the car.
Our Supplies
IV solutions and medications are sourced from licensed Canadian compounding pharmacies operating under Health Canada regulations. We do not cut costs on supplies.
What We Will Not Do
We will not proceed with a treatment if something does not sit right clinically. We will not overstate what IV therapy can do for you. We will not make promises that the evidence does not support. If your situation calls for a different level of care, we will tell you that directly and point you in the right direction.
Questions Before You Book
If you have specific questions about our clinical protocols, screening criteria, or how we handle particular health conditions, get in touch before booking. We are happy to answer honestly.
IV and IM therapy is supportive in nature. We do not diagnose or treat medical conditions, and we will not claim to do so.
