How does Hyndford Hydration ensure privacy during therapy sessions?

Our team arrives in everyday attire with discreet equipment, ensuring privacy for clients who prefer confidentiality during their IV therapy sessions.

What should I expect during my appointment?

Our nurse arrives with all necessary supplies, confirms your treatment, checks your vital signs, and administers the infusion or injection you have chosen. The total visit time depends on the treatment selected; however, most treatments typically last between 20 and 90 minutes.

 Is mobile IV therapy safe?

Yes. Licensed nurses provide all treatments in accordance with British Columbia nursing standards. We use sterile, single-use equipment, conduct pre-treatment assessments, and monitor clients throughout each session. All therapies require prescriber authorization.

Who can receive IV/IM therapy?

IV and IM therapy is available to adults aged 18 and over following completion of a health assessment. Some medical conditions, including certain cardiac or renal conditions, may limit eligibility for specific treatments. Our team reviews each submission carefully to ensure safety.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes. All IV and IM therapies are provided under a medical order from a nurse practitioner or physician.

We work in partnership with a nurse practitioner who has developed a comprehensive health assessment process. Most clients can be cleared for treatment through this questionnaire, allowing care to proceed without delay when it is clinically appropriate.

Some health conditions require additional review or an appointment with our nurse practitioner before treatment can be approved. In these cases, we will guide you through the next steps to ensure your safety and suitability for therapy.

What if I need to change or cancel my appointment?

You can change or cancel your visit up to 24 hours before your visit without penalty. Cancellations within 24 hours incur a 50 % fee; no-shows are charged in full.

How much does it cost?

Each therapy is offered at a transparent, flat-rate price listed on our Signature Infusions page. Standard travel within Nanaimo city limits is included. Appointments outside this area may incur a travel surcharge, which is disclosed at booking.

Do you accept insurance?

Currently, we are an out-of-pocket service. In some cases, clients submit a receipt to extended health benefits for reimbursement; please check with your provider.

Will someone with a needle phobia be okay?

We understand anxiety around needles. Our nurses are experienced in gentle insertion techniques and distraction methods; let us know your concerns so we can help you feel at ease.

Are there any side effects?

Most clients tolerate IV and IM therapy well. Common, mild effects may include a cool sensation during infusion or minor tenderness at the injection site. Less commonly, some individuals may experience lightheadedness, nausea, flushing, or discomfort depending on the treatment. Our nurses monitor you throughout the session and are trained to respond to any adverse reactions.

Frequency limits vary by therapy. Please take a look at each service description for maximum dosing guidelines.
